Congratulations to The Winans Family on their purchase of the lovely mare, Shamrock's Rebecca, for their daughter, Tatum.  Becky will
be seen in the ten and under division for 2009.

With each passing show, I am reminded why I love my job so very much.  The NTASHA Fall classic horse show in Irving, TX was a
wonderful weekend of horses, friends, and  fun.  While we won tons of good ribbons and I was so proud of those accomplishments, the real
pure joy of horses was in the air.  We had Ashley and Cinco and Grace and Delilah bring some magic to the show to win the "ONE-
TWO" punch in the show pleasure class.  Both horses and riders made good decisions in showing their mounts in a competitive class.
Then we saw them back for more in the Equitation class with Ashley coming out on top and Grace with lovely third place finish.  Cinco
and Ashley also claimed the Tri-color ribbon (complete with a crown, magic wand and bumble bee antennae) in the Show Pleasure
Championship. Katie and Jake looked terrific and won their first blue together in the Adult pleasure division- way to go!  This pair also
claimed some great ribbons in the equitation division. Next were Mary and Dale in the Walk and Trot division and they were a treat to
watch.  These two had a fantastic show- claiming a couple of lovely red ribbons and a third place finish in a competitive championship.
Jordan and Chip had a very successful first show together. The twosome won the top ribbon in their equitation class as well as a very
important NTASHA trophy in the academy pleasure championship.  The trophy will have Foster Farm engraved on it and will be
awarded each year at the show as it has been for the past decade. Two FF riders made there show ring debut at this horse show.  First,
Tatum and Duke were charming in the ten and under Equitation class and showed to a good fourth place ribbon and went back for the
third place finish in a very large championship. Next we had Bryn and Duke make their first appearance in the walk and trot pleasure
class.  They were rewarded with a third in their qualifier and were riding high to win a fifth place ribbon in the championship.  Welcome
to the sport girls- we are so proud of you! The show also had some fun classes that Foster Farm riders won including the pairs class with
Chip (and Ashley) and Dale (and Jordan), and Ashley and Dale winning the Egg and Spoon Perpetual Challenge trophy.  Duke was the
horse of all colors in the Costume class.  Joining him in the ring were the rest of the cast of The Wizard of Oz; Mary as Dorthy, Ashley as
the Tin Man,  Lily as the Lion, Jordan as the Scarecrow and Chelsea as Glenda the Good Witch.  They were a crowd favorite and looked
adorable!!  Bryn was also asked to compete in the costume class as the queen bee for a fellow barn and she was a doll all dressed up!

Congratulations to The Eagle Family on their selection of the talented mare, Wrapped in Roses.  Rose will be Alexandra's new mount for
    the 2009 show season.

The State Fair of Texas was perhaps our best show yet.  The show was highlighted with Grace and Delilah who won three classes at this
show.  First they claimed the blue in the competitive Saddleseat Equitation 17 and under class.  Next the two placed third in a tough show
pleasure class.  This team also won top honors in the USEF Medal and were named Reserve Champions in the Equitation Championship.
The Saddle and Bridle Pleasure Medallion also belonged to Grace who rode Dale to that win.  Next we were all excited to see Stephanie
and Tucker put on a show in Park Pleasure.  The two of them were a thrill to see and were rewarded with a third place finish in a very
nice class.  Alexandra and Vegas were simply darling to win both the Walk and Trot Equitation 10 and under and UPHA Challenge Cup
Walk and Trot classes.   Mary and Duke were awesome on Saturday and won a second in the Academy Pleasure qualifier and were the
Reserve Champions in the Academy Pleasure Walk and Trot Championship.  In the Academy Equitation classes they place fourth both
times out on good clean rides.  This team competed for only the second time together and they looked great!

Foster Farm would like to welcome Debbie and Marty Graves, The Bryce Family, and The Ellison Family to our stable!
We are so happy that you have joined us and we look forward to getting to know you and your horses.
